Amy Cooper Ceramics has been making organic porcelain lighting inspired by nature, stories and marvellous natural objects for over fifteen years. The designs are fuelled by glimpses of the world under the sea, the world under the microscope and the magic of landscapes at twilight. Our work is slip cast porcelain, each piece is individually altered either through manipulation when raw, or painstakingly masked with hand-drawn stencils and sandblasted at bisque. Amy Cooper Ceramics is a husband and wife team based in, and always inspired by, Cornwall.
We approached Samuel F Walsh Furniture regarding a collaboration of our work at the beginning of 2018. We have been friends for many years and have been similarly inspired by the Cornwall we grew up in.
Samuel F Walsh Furniture has twenty years of experience in designing, manufacturing and installing beautiful bespoke fine furniture, kitchens and interiors, working with private and professional clients throughout Cornwall, Devon and the South West. They have a small dedicated team that brings creative design, technical expertise, personal service and high-quality craftsmanship.
The ‘Keskorra’ range, meaning put together/collate in Cornish, have evolved from a very natural collaboration between furniture maker and ceramicist. The solid Ash, from the Tregothnan Estate, contrasts beautifully with the porcelain, producing a classical Standard with unique contemporary styling.
